Stretching exercises are very important for the well-being of the body because they help all parts of the body, especially the muscles and joints, to function within their full range of possibilities. The modern way of life that forces us to sit for hours in a desk and in front of a computer and the bad posture of the body tighten the muscles and irritate them, resulting in pains in the lower back, the neck, the entire spine, on the shoulders and in the arms. Additionally, proper blood circulation is prevented and as a result insufficient quantities of blood and nutrients are passed on to the tissues. Stretching on a frequent basis can substantially improve all of the above ailments.

The foundation of the system is based on the principle:

"Any move ends with a thought and every thought ends with a motion"

The respective exercises are all about learning the physical movement of the body through the stretching of the muscles, resulting in the restoration of the basic functions of the body.

Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy while at the same time it helps us to maintain the flexibility and a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That can cause joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.

"Exercise is superior to medicine because it is better to have health than to try to recover it and restore the harmony of natural beauty that does not derive from fake methods."

Socrates, Gorgias 464 bc
